Herb SegarsHerb learned to dive in 1980 and made more than a hundred dives in the clear waters of the Caribbean before trying his hand at diving in New Jersey. Somehow surviving a frightening introductory dive, Herb has gone on to make more than seven hundred dives off the New Jersey coast. His photos have been published worldwide and his credits include National Geographic, National Wildlife, Ranger Rick's Nature Magazine, Natural History and Geo (Germany). |
Veronica SegarsHerb's biggest fan and toughest critic is his wife, Veronica. She is the person that pushes him to strive harder to get that perfect shot. She is always there to help and she deserves equal credit for every photo that Herb takes. When the boat is underway, you will find Veronica in her favorite place - sitting on the bow savoring the salty air and enjoying the cooling breeze of a summer day. |

Tom SegarsThe subject of Herb's first major publication was his son, Tom. In June of 1984, Tom was on the cover of Ranger Rick's Nature Magazine and was featured in an article written by Herb about a child scuba diving in Bonaire in the Netherland Antilles. Tom's interests have wandered away from the undersea world. Today, he is more likely to be found cruising the links than exploring a shipwreck. On July 31. 2005, Tom sustained a traumatic brain injury. He is in the HBO move, COMA, which aired in July 2007. To learn more about Tom and his journey, click here. |
